Dining at Sea: What to Expect from Cruise Food

Apr 9, 2025
The main dining room
Multi-course dinners with a menu that changes every night, all included in your cruise fare. Choose a fixed seating time or a flexible come-when-you-like option, depending on the line and how you like to plan your evenings.
The buffet and casual spots
Breakfast, lunch and dinner with lots of variety, plus poolside grills, pizza and late-night bites. It's the easy choice for families and for sea days when you'd rather not change out of your swimsuit.
Specialty restaurants
Steakhouses, sushi, Italian, teppanyaki and chef's-table experiences are available for an extra charge, and many cruise promotions include a specialty dinner or a dining package. On a seven-night sailing, one or two specialty nights make a nice change of pace.
Room service and snacks
Breakfast in your cabin is a lovely way to start a port day, and most lines offer room service around the clock. Soft-serve ice cream by the pool is a rite of passage.
Dietary needs
Vegetarian, gluten-free, allergy-friendly and kids' menus are available on all four lines. Let us know when you book and we'll note it on your reservation so the dining team is ready for you.
